Doyles Poker Room is owned and operated by one of the most well known professional poker players from around the world, Doyle Brunson.  Doyle Brunson has won 11 WSOP bracelets and is a regular at the High Stakes Poker show.

Doyles Poker Room has a great deal of fame and good reputation to live up to because of the name Doyle Brunson.

Doyles Poker Room started in 2004, and really has not had a big impact on the online poker world that you would think because of the name of Doyle Brunson. However, it still is a great poker room for those who love the game of poker.  And who knows, you just might play against Doyle himself!

The software works well and there are no annoying glitches in it.  The options menu and hand statistics are useful, and the play-by-play shown in the chat window is handy (although this feature is now in most online poker rooms).

Doyles Poker Room does not have big player traffic such as PokerStars or Full Tilt.  Doyles Poker Room has over 15,000 players logged in during peak hours - Doyles Room definitely has solid traffic. The majority of players can be found at the Texas Hold’em tables however.  The only game that does not seem to be very popular is 7 Card Stud.  Thus, you should not have any trouble finding a table at your preferred stakes.  I would say that about 70% of those players are there for the tournaments, the rest are playing the ring-tables.

The overall feel of the tables is fairly loose. There are many soft tables to choose from with high flop percentages. The small to middle stakes NL Hold’em tables in particular are well known for their high flop percentages and wild play, especially in the bounty tournaments that are probably the most popular type of doyle room poker events.

Even the high stakes FL Hold’em tables are extremely soft which is uncommon in online poker, haha. If you are a higher limit, limit player then you owe it to yourself to check out Doyles Poker Room.

Doyles Poker Room has a big game selection, offering Texas Holdem, Omaha (both Hi and Hi-Lo versions) and even Badugi.  However, most poker players at this site play Texas holdem, and low-limit, low stakes at that too. In regard to the poker players at Doyles Poker Room, they are average players. You will not find the worst poker players at Doyles Poker Room, but neither will you find the best players. 

Support is great and you can contact them live, by email or by phone, from pretty much every corner of the room (lobby, tables, you name it..) The effectiveness of the live support is so good, that it pretty much rules out using email altogether, as email response times can amount to as much as half a day.

In conclusion, Doyles Poker Room clearly has a long way to go to become a top tier online poker room, this is clear, but there are plenty of great reasons to give Doyles Poker Room a shot.

Trying to find a poker room that has better customer service than Doyles Poker Room is just about impossible.  Doyles Poker Room offer the best and great tournaments for all poker players.   My only complaint is the graphics because of the software that Doyles Poker Room uses.  However, if your goal is to make money, then by all means do give Doyles Poker Room a shot because there is money to be made here !
