8. Buddy Listing System - The single most important thing in making poker profits is game selection. There needs to be at least one player in your game who is giving away money. If there isn't, you need to change games!
To keep from wasting time in the future, you should be "buddy listing" the really bad players who are giving away money as part of your routine. Next time you log in, do a search for players on your buddy list and get in line for those games. You will need to keep finding more "buddies" however, as they don't last long because they go broke pretty quickly.
Keeping player notes is also essential to winning play. But don't just write "fish". That does you no good whatsoever! Instead, make a note about a paticular bad play they made. This will help jog your memory next time you play them, and will allow you to focus on exploiting the weakness they have already shown. Something like "put all his money in with one pair on the flop".
